Jens P. Jensen was born in Aalborg, Denmark on July 30, 1867.  He married Ane Westergaard on November 24, 1892, at Parker, South Dakota.  She was born July 23, 1872, at Brovest, Denmark. They farmed in the Spring Valley area until retiring to Viborg.

Nine children were born to this union.  Nels married Alice Reisner.  He died in 1979. Alice still lives in California [1993.]                       

Lawrence married Ida Larson.  After her death, he married Violet Jepsen. He died in 1984.  Violet lives in Viborg [1993.]                       

William married Rosy Jepsen.  He died in 1987 and she in 1969.

Sena married Harry Christensen.  He died in 1972 and she in 1989.

Marie married Chris Anderson. He died in 1974. She still lives in Viborg [1993.]

Roy married Hulda Oswald. They live near Huron, South Dakota [1993.]

Linda married Orris Mellegaard.  They both died in 1987.

Esther married Carl Anderson.  He died in 1978. She lives in Hurley, South Dakota [1993.]

Erma married Howard Reisner.  He died in 1987. She lives in Yankton, South Dakota [1993.]

Ane died January 30, 1953 and Jens on February 9, 1955.
